Man Sought for Questioning in Bar Shooting Incident

Police seek public help in identifying a man wanted for questioning in a bar shooting.

Specialized Investigations Division detectives are seeking the community’s assistance in identifying a man wanted for questioning in connection with a shooting incident that occurred outside Sky Bar & Lounge on Hamilton Crossings Boulevard early Sunday morning.

The incident, which happened around 3 a.m., resulted in five individuals being wounded, one critically. The suspect is described as having dreadlocks extending to his beltline and was seen at the bar before the incident. He is believed to have entered a silver Jeep parked nearby, which at least one witness identified as possibly being the source of the gunfire.

The shooting took place as people were leaving the bar following a musical performance. The victims, who are all from Murfreesboro, include a 42-year-old woman in critical condition, three men aged 26, 26, and 22, and a 21-year-old woman with non-critical injuries. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
