Lovelle Winton-Jones, 35, has been indicted on a first-degree murder charge for the fatal shooting of his girlfriend, 20-year-old Jamani Parker. The indictment was served on Thursday evening while Winton-Jones was incarcerated on unrelated charges.
The incident occurred on July 14, when Parker was found unresponsive by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers employees on the Alta Lake Greenway. She was transported to the hospital, where she later died.
Winton-Jones has been in jail since July 26 on multiple charges, including drug possession and evading arrest.

Nashville Man Sentenced for Armed Robbery
