Homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning on Patricia Drive in Nashville. The victim has been identified as Francisco Ico Anx, 37, a resident of Nashville.
The incident took place at approximately 12:10 a.m. outside a friend’s apartment located at 1019 Patricia Drive. According to reports, Francisco Ico Anx and his friend were approached by four suspects, described as black men, who demanded their belongings. When Anx resisted, one of the suspects shot him in the stomach. The suspects also threatened his friend, shoving him to the ground and taking his wallet, passport, Guatemalan ID, and cash before fleeing on foot.
The second victim described the shooter as approximately 5’6” tall, in his mid-20s, with short hair around the ears and neck and longer hair on top. Another suspect, who also made threats, was described as approximately 5’8” tall, in his mid-30s, with a long beard.
Anx was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
