Man Charged with Homicide in West Nashville Shooting

Jack Becker charged with criminal homicide for the shooting of his girlfriend, Autumn Joiner.

Homicide detectives have arrested and charged Jack Becker, 26, with criminal homicide following the fatal shooting of his girlfriend, Autumn Joiner, 30, last Friday morning. The incident occurred inside their apartment on Hillmeade Court in West Nashville.

Becker initially reported to 911 that Joiner had shot herself in the head while they were in bed. However, he later changed his account, stating that his finger accidentally slipped into the trigger guard of a pistol, causing it to discharge.

Evidence and investigation conducted by Detective Adam Reese contradict Becker’s versions of events and indicate that Joiner was unhappy living with him. Becker is currently held on a $500,000 bond.
