Man Charged After Stabbing Incident at Cobra Bar

James Lucas Smith faces charges following a stabbing at Cobra Bar in Nashville.

James Lucas Smith, 43, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault following a stabbing incident at Cobra Bar, located at 2511 Gallatin Avenue. The incident occurred during a fight, during which Smith allegedly stabbed two men who were attempting to intervene. Both victims were transported to local hospitals; one sustained serious injuries.

Following the incident, witnesses reported seeing Smith attempting to discard a knife by throwing it onto the roof of a nearby Walgreens at 2500 Gallatin Avenue. Law enforcement officers recovered a knife in the parking lot, close to where Smith was apprehended.

Smith is currently being held with a bail set at $50,000.
