The City of Knoxville has deployed multiple crews to assist neighbors with flood response in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
On the afternoon of Sept. 27, 2024, eight swift water technicians with the Knoxville Fire Department and four Knoxville Police Officers trained in swift water rescue, and search and rescue, responded to requests in Carter County, Tennessee.
The City is also sending three boats to assist with the efforts.
Several schools and churches in Carter County are serving as shelters, and everyone is being asked to stay off the roadways. View All News
