The Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s Jasper Driver Services Center, located at 4950 Main St., Building D, will be closed for one day on Friday, Sept. 20. This closure is necessary to install new credentialing equipment and self-service kiosks. The center will reopen on Monday, Sept. 23.
The new self-service kiosks will enable users to complete various Driver Services transactions. These include renewing or replacing a duplicate Driver License or ID Card, changing an address, updating emergency contact information, advancing a Teen/Graduated Driver License, paying reinstatement fees, and requesting a license reissue after meeting reinstatement requirements. The kiosks are capable of taking photos and processing payments through Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a credit/debit card.
In addition to Jasper, Driver Services locations in Nashville, Murfreesboro, Gallatin, and Springfield will also close during the third week of September for similar equipment upgrades.
