A four-vehicle collision occurred on Thursday just before 4 p.m. in the 3000 block of Dickerson Pike, resulting in the death of 26-year-old Noah Diego Hugo Villarce of Nashville.
Villarce was driving his Nissan Rogue southbound on Dickerson Pike when he entered the center turn lane, attempting to turn left into the parking lot of a shopping center. His vehicle was struck head-on by a northbound Ford pickup truck. The Nissan then collided with a southbound Dodge Charger, while the pickup truck was subsequently struck in the rear bumper by a northbound Lexus SUV.
Villarce was transported to Skyline Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His 9-month-old daughter, who was also in the vehicle, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Vanderbilt pediatrics, where she was reunited with her mother.
The drivers of the Ford pickup truck and Dodge Charger sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were also taken to Skyline Medical Center. The driver of the Lexus SUV and her 11-year-old son were treated for minor injuries.
The preliminary cause of the crash has been identified as failure to yield on behalf of Villarce.
