Driver Killed in Whites Creek Pike Crash

A 46-year-old driver died in a crash on Whites Creek Pike.

A 46-year-old driver of a BMW 28I sedan was killed in a crash on Whites Creek Pike near Jackman Road at 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday. The driver was heading northbound when the vehicle veered off the roadway for unknown reasons, entered a ditch, and collided with a utility pole.

Following the accident, the driver was transported to Skyline Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities are currently working to notify his family.

The driver was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, and there were no signs of impairment at the scene.
