Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting on Nolensville Pike

Detectives probe a targeted shooting outside Bucanas Night Club that left one man dead and another in critical condition.

Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a targeted shooting that took place on Nolensville Pike outside Bucanas Night Club early Sunday morning. The incident resulted in the fatal injury of 18-year-old Yasser Paz and the critical injury of 20-year-old Kyaw Naing.

According to reports, Paz and Naing were leaving the club with two friends when a vehicle approached them in the parking lot. Multiple men exited the vehicle and opened fire on the group.

Both Paz and Naing were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Paz succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, while Naing remains in critical condition. The two friends who were with them were not injured in the attack.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in homicide cases.

Arrest Made in Fatal Shooting at Overlook Ridge

Jabaree Q. Jones, 19, has been charged with criminal homicide for the August 26 shooting of Charmaine Goodloe, 34, at Overlook Ridge Apartments. Goodloe was shot while sitting in a breezeway and later died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Jones was identified as present in the suspect vehicle and apprehended by detectives; additional arrests are expected.
