The Department of Safety and Homeland Security’s Covington Driver Services Center, located at 220 Highway 51 N., Suite 1, will be closed on Friday, September 27, for the installation of new credentialing equipment and self-service kiosks. The center is scheduled to reopen on Monday, September 30.
The newly installed self-service kiosks will allow customers to complete a variety of Driver Services transactions. These include renewing or replacing a duplicate Driver License or ID Card, changing addresses, updating emergency contact information, advancing a Teen/Graduated Driver License, paying reinstatement fees, and requesting license reissue after meeting reinstatement requirements. The kiosks are equipped to take photos and process payments through Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a credit or debit card.
In addition to the Covington location, the Driver Services Centers in Cookeville, McMinnville, Dickson, Fayetteville, Columbia, and Shelbyville, as well as 12 other Driver Services partner locations, will also undergo equipment upgrades in the near future.
