Beginning overnight tonight, September 3-4, motorists using Asbury Lane at Medical Center Parkway will only be allowed to make right turns into and out of Asbury Lane. A new, raised median at the intersection will necessitate changes in traffic patterns for those entering and leaving the area. Left turns at the intersection will no longer be possible.
Eastbound traffic on Medical Center Parkway wishing to access Asbury Lane can make a U-turn at Conference Center Blvd. to return westward and then make a right turn onto Asbury Lane. Motorists on Asbury Lane aiming to travel eastbound on Medical Center Parkway will need to find alternative routes, such as taking Asbury Lane to Asbury Road to access adjacent subdivisions, and then using Wilkinson Pike or Old Nashville Highway for their eastward destinations.
This modification to right turns only is temporary until the future realignment of Asbury Lane to Conference Center Blvd. near Williamson Farm. The City is collaborating with Williamson Farm representatives to develop a new alignment that extends Asbury Lane along the southern portion of the farm property to a new signalized intersection at Conference Center Blvd. City Engineers are finalizing the details of this new design, with construction anticipated in 2025. The current Asbury Lane connection to Medical Center Parkway will be eliminated once the proposed extension is completed.
