Homicide detectives have charged Jabaree Q. Jones, 19, with criminal homicide for the August 26 fatal shooting of Charmaine Goodloe, 34, at Overlook Ridge Apartments, located at 2400 Buena Vista Pike. Goodloe was sitting in a breezeway of an apartment building with a friend just before midnight when shots were fired from the parking lot. She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries.
The ongoing investigation, led by Detective Joe Gawlowski, identified Jones as a person present in the suspect vehicle at the time of the shooting. Jones was apprehended late this afternoon by detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division TITANS at an apartment complex on Cheyenne Boulevard. He is currently being held without bond pending a hearing.

The incident took place outside a friend’s apartment when four suspects attempted to rob Anx and his friend. Anx was shot in the stomach after resisting, and the suspects fled with stolen belongings.
