A 13-year-old student was arrested for making threats against schools on social media.

A Madison Middle School 8th grader was arrested recently after multiple threats were made to several area schools on social media. The 13-year-old is charged with making threats of violence against schools and false reporting of a threat.

Majority of Stolen Guns in Nashville Taken from Vehicles

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department reports that 621 guns have been stolen from vehicles in Nashville this year, comprising 71% of the 865 total guns stolen in Davidson County in 2024. This is a 29% decrease from the same period last year. A special initiative by MNPD has resulted in 767 arrests, the recovery of 399 stolen vehicles, and the retrieval of 143 guns since February 1st. Vehicle burglaries often accompany vehicle thefts, with many cars being targeted because keys are left inside.
