West Tennessee Road Construction Updates

Upcoming lane closures in West Tennessee from August 21-28, 2024.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has announced several lane closures and construction activities across West Tennessee from August 21 to August 28, 2024. These closures are necessary for repairs and new installations across various locations in the region.

### District 47

**Benton County**

– **I-40 Resurfacing:** Nighttime temporary lane closures from S.R. 69 (MM 126) to the Humphreys County line (Tennessee River Bridge).

– **SR 391 Resurfacing:** Temporary lane closures from US 70W (SR 1, LM 0.00) to US 70E (SR 1 LM 5.31).

**Carroll County**

– **SR-76 (US-79):** Lane closures for grading, drainage, noise walls, signals, and paving from near S.R. 77 (L.M. 1.89) to near Cutlip Lane (L.M. 7.29).

**Dyer County**

– **SR-20:** Temporary lane closures for bridge repair on US 412 (SR 20) over the North Fork Forked Deer River.

– **SR-211:** Outside lane closures for bridge inspection and evaluation beginning August 9, 2024.

**Gibson/Carroll County**

– **SR-76 (US-79):** Temporary lane closures for grading, drainage, construction of a concrete box bridge, noise wall, and paving from west of Cades-Atwood Road in Gibson County to east of SR 77 in Carroll County.

**Henry/Weakley County**

– **SR-22:** Temporary lane closures for HOT IN-PLACE RECYCLING from the Carroll County Line in Henry County to SR 217 in Weakley County.

**Obion County**

– **Future I-69 (Phase 3):** SR 690 (Future I-69) is now open. Speed limits are reduced to 45 mph in the southbound lanes for the transition onto US51.

**Weakley County**

– **SR-445:** Temporary lane closures for miscellaneous safety improvements including resurfacing from Gibson County Line to near Losson Puckett Road.

### District 48

**Gibson and Crockett County**

– **S.R. 152:** Resurfacing including bridge expansion joint and deck repairs will cause temporary lane closures. One lane will remain open at all times.

**Hardin County**

– **SR 128 over Pickwick Dam:** Temporary lane closures beginning August 19, 2024, for bridge rehabilitation.

**Haywood County**

– **I-40:** Nightly lane closures from MM 60 to 67 for resurfacing work.

– **SR 179:** Temporary lane closures in both directions for resurfacing with Full-Depth Reclamation (FDR).

**Henderson County**

– **I-40:** Intermittent lane closures from MM 100 to MM 101.4 for geotechnical bores from August 21-23 and August 26-29.

**Madison County**

– **I-40 MM 77 eastbound over Forked Deer River:** Bridge deck repair on August 22 from 7:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

### District 49

**Fayette County**

– **SR-222:** Temporary lane closures for grading, drainage, signals, and paving from Hebron Drive to near Thorpe Drive, including the I-40 interchange (Exit 42).

**Lauderdale County**

– **US-51 (SR-3):** Temporary lane closures for resurfacing from SR-88 to the Dyer County Line and from the Tipton County Line to SR-19.

**Shelby County**

– **I-55 at Exit 6A (I-240):** Exit ramp closed on August 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for vegetation removal.

– **SR-3 from near Babe Howard Blvd to the Tipton County Line:** Nightly lane closures for resurfacing activities.

**Tipton County**

– **US-51 (SR-3) at Kenwood Avenue:** Daily temporary lane closures for safety improvements.

### Non-TDOT Work

**Shelby County**

– **SR-177 (Germantown Road):** Long-term lane closures for widening and intersection improvements from Brierbrook to the Wolf River.

Temporary Railroad Crossing Closures and Reporting
