Second Phase of Lamar Avenue Project Begins
The Tennessee Department of Transportation has initiated the second phase of the Lamar Avenue project, awarding a $149.8 million contract to Dement Construction Company for infrastructure improvements between Shelby Drive and the Raines/Perkins interchange. This phase includes widening the road from four to six lanes and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2028.
