An unidentified man was struck and killed by a CSX freight train across the street from 85 East Campbell Road. The incident occurred at 10 p.m., when officers were dispatched to the railroad tracks.
Video footage from the train revealed that the man was sitting on the tracks and made no attempt to move or look up prior to the impact. Authorities have stated that there were no signs of foul play. A 72-year-old pedestrian, Larry Brown, was fatally struck by a Chevrolet Silverado on Murfreesboro Pike near the Nashboro Boulevard intersection. The driver, Leonardo De Jesus Guerrero, was charged for driving without a license or insurance but showed no signs of impairment.
