Two Teen Robbery Suspects Arrested in Nashville

Two teens, aged 14 and 15, were arrested after a robbery near Parkwood Community Center.

Coordinated police efforts between Madison Precinct patrol officers, Violent Crimes Division detectives, and a Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) helicopter led to the arrest of two male teens, ages 14 and 15, on Monday. The arrest occurred shortly after the teens allegedly robbed a man who was walking toward Parkwood Community Center.

The victim reported that the suspects approached him while armed with a handgun, which they passed between each other while demanding his belongings. The teens fled the scene with the victim’s iPhone, Apple Watch, and a mesh Nike backpack.

Patrol officers quickly responded to the area and established a perimeter around the location of the victim’s stolen iPhone on Lauren Evelyn Way. Subsequent investigation by detectives and officers, with assistance from Aviation, resulted in the apprehension of both teens at a residence on Lauren Evelyn Way. They were positively identified as the robbers.

Recovered from the house were the victim’s iPhone and a stolen handgun that had been taken from a vehicle on Chesapeake Drive earlier this month. Additionally, ammunition and a black mask were found. During an interview, one of the teens admitted to committing the robbery to buy Fortnite character skins.

Both teens are charged in Juvenile Court with robbery, juvenile handgun possession, and loitering during school hours.
