TSSAA Appoints Lexie Crawford for 2024-25 School Year

Lexie Crawford joins TSSAA as the new Coordinator of Sports Information and Digital Content.

The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) has announced the appointment of Lexie Crawford as the new Coordinator of Sports Information and Digital Content for the 2024-25 school year. A native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Lexie brings extensive experience and enthusiasm to the role, aiming to enhance TSSAA’s connection with its digital audience.

Lexie Crawford is a recent graduate of Austin Peay State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Communications. Her journey in sports media began at Blackman High School, where she developed a passion for high school athletics through various extracurricular activities.

During her time at Austin Peay, Lexie gained valuable experience in sports media and content creation. She worked in the university’s athletic department, serving as the content coordinator for the baseball team and assisting with social media management during different athletic seasons. Additionally, she served as the Director of Digital Media and Marketing for the Canes Tennessee Baseball Organization, where she created graphics, photographed events, and developed social media engagement strategies.

TSSAA Executive Director Mark Reeves expressed his enthusiasm for the new hire. “We are delighted to welcome Lexie Crawford to the TSSAA family,” said Reeves. “Her experience, skills, and passion for high school sports make her an excellent fit for this position. We believe Lexie will play a crucial role in enhancing our digital presence and sharing the inspiring stories of our student-athletes, coaches, and administrators.”

In her new role, Lexie will be responsible for generating and managing content across TSSAA’s websites and social media platforms. She will collaborate with staff members to ensure the association’s online presence remains up-to-date, user-friendly, and visually appealing. Additionally, Lexie will work with the Director of Media Relations and the Director of Marketing to implement strategies that elevate TSSAA’s digital presence and increase audience engagement.

Reflecting on her new role, Lexie expressed her excitement. “I am incredibly excited about this opportunity to join the TSSAA team,” she said. “Having attended Blackman High School, I’ve always known how special the TSSAA organization is. I’m eager to apply my skills and knowledge to help showcase the exceptional stories and achievements within the TSSAA community.”

Outside of her professional life, Lexie is an avid sports enthusiast who enjoys attending live sporting events. Her passion for athletics, combined with her technical skills and creativity, makes her an ideal fit for the TSSAA team. As TSSAA continues to evolve in the digital age, Lexie’s role will be instrumental in reinforcing the association’s commitment to education and sportsmanship while engaging with a broader audience.
