Tennessee Joins Lawsuit Against RealPage for Antitrust Violations

Tennessee Attorney General joins lawsuit against RealPage for alleged rental market price manipulation.

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti has announced that Tennessee is joining the United States Department of Justice and seven other states in a lawsuit against RealPage. The lawsuit alleges that RealPage has violated federal antitrust law by manipulating rental prices.

“My office has been looking at RealPage since 2023 following concerns about the company’s efforts to keep rents artificially high in cities across Tennessee,” said Tennessee Attorney General Skrmetti. “We’re glad to be part of this bipartisan effort to protect consumers and hold RealPage accountable.”

In addition to Tennessee and the United States Department of Justice, the states participating in this lawsuit include North Carolina, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Minnesota, Oregon, and Washington.
