TDOE Announces 2024-25 Principal and Supervisor Finalists

Tennessee recognizes top principals and supervisors for 2024-25 awards.

The Tennessee Department of Education has revealed the finalists for the 2024-25 Tennessee Principal of the Year and Supervisor of the Year awards. These finalists represent the state’s Center of Regional Excellence (CORE) regions, with three candidates from each of the Grand Divisions: West, Middle, and East.

“I am thrilled to honor these individuals as finalists for the Tennessee Principal of the Year and Supervisor of the Year awards,” said Lizzette Reynolds, Commissioner of Education. “Your exceptional hard work, dedication, and leadership does not go unnoticed, and I am proud that Tennessee has so many principals and district supervisors that are committed to student success.”

The Tennessee Principal of the Year award is given annually to a school leader who has demonstrated outstanding service in education and exceptional leadership that drives overall improvements in their school. To qualify, candidates must have at least three years of experience as a principal and a minimum of five years of experience in Tennessee public schools. Additionally, all nominees must have a proven track record of exceptional gains in student learning.
