Swearing-In Ceremony for Murfreesboro City Council Members

Judge Toby Gilley to swear in re-elected Murfreesboro City Council members on September 5, 2024.

General Sessions Judge Toby Gilley will oversee the swearing-in of newly re-elected Murfreesboro City Council members Bill Shacklett, Shawn Wright, and Kirt Wade. This special ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 4 p.m. in the City Hall Rotunda.

Council Members Bill Shacklett, Kirt Wade, and Shawn Wright will be officially sworn in by Judge Toby Gilley. The event is scheduled for Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. and will be held at the Murfreesboro City Hall Rotunda, located at 111 West Vine Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37130.

The ceremony will be broadcast live on Murfreesboro CityTV, available on Comcast Xfinity Channels 3 and 1094, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, YouTube, mobile devices, and the CityTV website www.murfreesborotn.gov/citytv.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, a Public Comment session will commence at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, followed by the regularly scheduled City Council meeting at 6:00 p.m.
