Pedestrian in Wheelchair Fatally Struck on Lebanon Pike

A woman in a wheelchair was struck and killed while crossing Lebanon Pike.

A 56-year-old Nashville woman in a wheelchair was struck and killed Thursday at 7:45 p.m. while attempting to cross Lebanon Pike near Tyler Drive. Efforts are currently underway to notify her next of kin.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a Subaru Outback was traveling east on Lebanon Pike when the incident occurred. The woman was transported to Skyline Medical Center, where she subsequently died.

There was no evidence of impairment at the scene, and the fatal crash occurred outside of a crosswalk.

Charges Expected in Old Hickory Crash

Charges are expected following a crash on Old Hickory Boulevard that resulted in the death of a 26-year-old motorcycle passenger. The motorcycle, driven by Trevario Pillar, collided with a Chevrolet Malibu making a left turn. Pillar admitted to smoking marijuana earlier, and a blood sample was obtained. The Chevrolet driver showed no signs of impairment, and the case will be reviewed with the District Attorney’s Office.
