Pedestrian Fatally Struck on Murfreesboro Pike

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Murfreesboro Pike on Friday night.

The pedestrian fatally struck in Friday’s 8 p.m. crash on Murfreesboro Pike has been identified as Larry Brown, 72. The preliminary investigation indicates Brown was crossing Murfreesboro Pike from west to east approximately 275 feet from the Nashboro Boulevard intersection when a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck traveling southbound struck him.

Brown was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

The Silverado driver, Leonardo De Jesus Guerrero, 29, of LaVergne, did not show signs of impairment at the scene. He was charged for driving without a license or insurance.

Fatal Accident on I-40 West

A fatal accident occurred on I-40 West near Briley Parkway involving a 24-year-old driver, Taylor Burns, whose stopped vehicle was hit from behind, resulting in her death and minor injuries to the other driver.
