Murfreesboro City Offices Closed for Labor Day

City of Murfreesboro offices and select facilities will close on September 2 for Labor Day.

In observance of Labor Day, City of Murfreesboro offices and most Parks & Recreation facilities will be closed on Monday, September 2. Murfreesboro Transit, the City’s public transportation service, will not run on Labor Day.

Old Fort Golf Club and Bloomfield Links will be open during their normal hours. The Adams Tennis Complex will operate from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Labor Day. The Sports*Com Boro Beach Pool will be open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Several facilities will be closed, including McFadden Community Center, Patterson Park Community Center, Wilderness Station, Cannonsburgh Village, Bradley Academy Museum and Cultural Center, and the St. Clair Senior Center. The Parks and Recreation Main Office at 2140 N. Thompson Lane will also be closed.

The Solid Waste Department will not operate on Labor Day. There will be no garbage pick-up on Monday, September 2. Instead, Monday’s garbage pick-up will be conducted on Tuesday, September 3, and Tuesday’s garbage pick-up will be on Wednesday, September 4.

Oakland Driver Services Center Remodel Closure

The Oakland Driver Services Center at 160 Beau Tisdale Drive will close for renovations starting August 29, involving updates like fresh paint and new furniture. During the closure, residents can use nearby Driver Services Centers, County Clerk’s Offices, Self-Service Kiosks, or online services at tn.gov/safety/driver-services/online.html.
