The Citizens Fire Academy offers residents an opportunity to gain a better understanding and appreciation of the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD) and its services. This four-week course includes various hands-on activities and experiences provided by MFRD.
Participants will have the chance to try on turnout gear, climb a 65-foot aerial ladder, practice vehicle extrication, run through the firefighter ability test, and tour the dispatch center, among other activities.

The sessions are scheduled for Tuesdays, from October 22 through November 12, and will take place from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Interested individuals can download the Citizens Fire Academy Application here.
