Rickey Starks, 24, was arrested in Covington, Tipton County, and has been returned to Nashville. This arrest was made possible through the coordination between the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) Homicide Unit, Specialized Investigations Division detectives, and the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office.
Starks faces charges related to the July 7 fatal shooting of London Montgomery. Montgomery, 23, was found with gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat of a stolen Mercedes SUV after it crashed into a retaining wall. The incident is believed to be drug-related. Following his arrest, Starks has been charged with first-degree murder and is currently held on a $500,000 bond.
