Lane Closures Announced for West Tennessee

Temporary lane closures are expected across various regions in West Tennessee for construction and repair.

Temporary lane closures will occur at various locations across West Tennessee for construction and repairs from August 7 to August 14, 2024. The closures may take place during the daytime or nighttime, depending on the specific project requirements.

### District 47

**Benton County**:

– Resurfacing on I-40 from S.R. 69 to the Humphreys County line will cause nighttime lane closures.

– Resurfacing on SR 391 from US 70W to US 70E will involve temporary lane closures.

**Dyer County**:

– Repair work on the bridge over the North Fork Forked Deer River on SR-20 will lead to temporary lane closures. Traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction and a reduced speed limit of 55 MPH.

**Gibson/Carroll County**:

– Construction on US 79 (SR 76) will result in temporary lane closures. Barker Road is permanently closed, and detours are in place.

**Henry/Weakley County**:

– Resurfacing on SR 22 will cause temporary lane closures.

**Obion County**:

– Future I-69 (Phase 3) is open to traffic with reduced speed limits. Work will continue on closed ramps.

**Weakley County**:

– Safety improvements on SR 445 will lead to temporary lane closures.

**Crockett County**:

– Resurfacing on US-412 from Birmingham/Lyons Road to US-79 will cause temporary lane closures with one lane open at all times.

**Gibson and Crockett County**:

– Resurfacing on S.R. 152 will involve temporary lane closures with one lane open at all times.

**Haywood County**:

– Nightly lane closures on I-40 from MM 60 to 67 for resurfacing.

– Resurfacing on SR 179 and SR 222 will cause temporary lane closures.

**Madison County**:

– Intermittent rolling lane closures on I-40 for pothole patching on August 8.

**Lauderdale County**:

– Resurfacing on US-51 and SR-19 will result in temporary lane closures.

**Shelby County**:

– Multiple projects on I-240, I-40, and SR-14 will cause temporary lane closures for vegetation removal, resurfacing, and safety improvements. Several ramps will be intermittently closed with detours in place.

– Long-term closures and lane restrictions are in place for ongoing projects on I-55 and SR-4.

**Tipton County**:

– Safety improvements at the intersection of US-51 and Kenwood Avenue will lead to temporary lane closures.

River Trace Roadway Closure Update

The Nashville Department of Transportation and Multimodal Infrastructure (NDOT) is working to ensure safe transportation on River Trace by conducting site evaluations and incorporating additional Geotech resources. A meeting with contractors is scheduled for August 7, 2024, and updates will follow. Local traffic can still use the road, while cyclists are advised to use an alternative route.
