Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting that took place on Friday morning at a home on the 100 block of East Trinity Lane. The incident occurred at approximately 10:15 a.m., resulting in the death of an unidentified Hispanic woman.
Reports indicate that the woman was living at the residence with her boyfriend. Witnesses stated that an unknown black man, dressed in dark clothing and wearing a mask, entered the home and fired several shots at her boyfriend. The suspect then shot the victim multiple times on the front porch.
The victim was transported to Skyline Medical Center in critical condition but later succumbed to her injuries. The Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify her through fingerprint analysis.
The woman’s boyfriend, who was not hit by the gunfire, along with another witness, tried to follow the suspect as he fled on foot towards Meridian Street, but they eventually lost sight of him.

Fugitive Tyrone Walker Arrested in Nashville
