Homicide Unit detectives are currently working to identify two men wanted for questioning in connection with the fatal shooting of Darrius Bergeron, 29, which occurred on May 17. The incident took place at the intersection of Hart and Lewis Streets in Nashville.
According to a witness, Bergeron was observed approaching the passenger side of a white SUV shortly before gunfire erupted. Two SUVs were reported to have fled the scene in the direction of Trimble Street following the shooting. Bergeron was pronounced dead at the scene, and the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
The Nashville Police Department has released surveillance photos of the two men they wish to question. They urge anyone who recognizes the individuals in the photos to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
