Detectives Seek Public’s Help to Identify Assault Suspects

Nashville detectives are investigating an assault on a Dollar General employee and seeking public assistance.

East Precinct detectives are currently working to identify two men involved in the assault of a Dollar General employee on Dickerson Pike on July 2. According to surveillance camera footage, one of the suspects, dressed in shorts, entered the store and requested to put $400 on a gift card. Finding the request suspicious, the employee refused the transaction.

After the refusal, the suspect went behind the counter and punched the employee before leaving the store. Shortly after, the same suspect returned to the store with a second suspect, who was dressed in pants. Both suspects then physically assaulted the employee.

The suspects fled the scene in a newer model Nissan SUV with a Texas license plate. The employee suffered minor injuries but declined medical assistance at the scene.

Authorities have released images of the suspects and are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
