Detectives Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Shooting Suspect

Authorities are working to identify a suspect involved in a July 4th shooting in Nashville.

Detectives are working to identify the gunman involved in a shooting on July 4th at an apartment complex located at 108 Thompson Lane in Nashville. The incident occurred after an argument in the parking lot escalated into violence.

According to a witness, two groups of people were gathered in the parking lot at approximately 1:30 a.m. when an argument broke out and turned physical. During the altercation, the suspect pulled out a gun and fired into the air, causing the 19-year-old victim to flee to his vehicle. As the suspect drove by, he fired multiple shots at the victim, striking him at least twice. The victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, appearing to be in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately 5’7” tall with a medium build. He fled the scene in a 2002 Ford Focus with a sanded paint job and a rear back window that appeared to be taped up.

Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the suspect or the vehicle to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.
