Detectives Investigate Double-Fatal Shooting at Hartman Park

Authorities are investigating a double-fatal shooting at Hartman Park, Nashville.

Homicide detectives are pursuing leads in Sunday’s 1 a.m. double fatal shooting that occurred during a gathering at Hartman Park, located at 2801 Tucker Road.

Officers responded to the scene and found 21-year-old Dominque Miller lying in a parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. Miller was transported to Skyline Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Shortly thereafter, officers were notified that a second gunshot victim, 26-year-old Jamontez Johnson, had been taken by a private vehicle to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where he was also pronounced dead. The motive for the shooting is still under investigation.

A third male victim, aged 21, reported later that he had also been shot at the park. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the murders of Miller and Johnson to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers can remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward of up to $5,000 in homicide cases.
