Charges Expected After Fatal Crash on Ewing Drive

Charges are anticipated after a fatal two-vehicle crash on Ewing Drive in Nashville.

Update: The woman killed in Friday’s two-vehicle crash on Ewing Drive has been identified as Tamika Petway, 46, of Nashville.

Charges are anticipated following the crash that occurred at 6:40 p.m. on Ewing Drive at Gwynnwood Drive. Preliminary investigations indicate that the 46-year-old was driving her Chevrolet Camaro eastbound on Ewing Drive when a southbound Infiniti QX6 on Gwynnwood Drive ran a stop sign and struck the driver’s side of the Camaro.

The 46-year-old was transported to Skyline Medical Center where she succumbed to her injuries. Efforts are currently underway to notify her family.

The 36-year-old driver of the Infiniti and both of her juvenile passengers, ages 14 and 7, were all transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for their injuries.

There were no signs of impairment from either driver at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
