Outstanding work by two Central Precinct patrol officers this morning led to the arrest of an MNPD Most Wanted suspect. Emory Davis, 56, a convicted felon, was stopped on Middleton Street, in an area known for illegal drug activity, in a red Chevrolet Camaro when officers ran the license plate and found he had eight outstanding warrants.
When approached by officers, Davis refused to give his name and attempted to run. He was quickly taken into custody. Multiple crack pipes, marijuana, and syringes were found upon a search of the Camaro. Davis’ passenger also placed a bag on the ground with a crack pipe visible. A search of her bag led to the seizure of a pistol and crack cocaine. She advised officers that both items belonged to Davis.

Davis had outstanding warrants related to the July 14th aggravated assaults of two convenience store clerks on Jenkins Street after he produced a handgun, threatened to kill both of them, and then slashed their tires as he fled because he was unhappy with the change he was given. Davis also had warrants for an April incident where he was allegedly speeding on a suspended license down Nolensville Pike in the same red Camaro.
Davis is currently jailed on a $135,000 bond.

Robbery Attempt Sparks Shooting in Nashville
A robbery attempt involving around 22 pounds of marijuana led to a shooting on Alabama Avenue in Nashville, injuring a 22-year-old man who later drove himself to a nearby Mapco gas station; another individual arrived at St. Thomas Hospital Midtown with a gunshot wound, and both incidents are believed to be connected.
