Homicide detectives are actively pursuing leads in the murder of a man outside a home at 2207 Maplecrest Drive on Monday morning. The victim, who has not yet been positively identified, was reportedly lured to the location by a woman around 1 a.m. The property includes a short-term rental that was not in use at the time of the incident.
According to the investigation, the victim arrived with a woman who led him toward the rear of the property. A gunman, who had been waiting nearby, approached the victim and shot him multiple times. The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Both the gunman and the woman fled together.
Currently, there is no known connection between the individuals involved and the Maplecrest Drive property.

Shooting Victim Arrested for Armed Robbery
Samuel Giddens, a 26-year-old convicted felon, was arrested after being shot and taken to the hospital, where he provided false identification. Giddens and another convicted felon, Kendric Williams, face multiple charges, including aggravated robbery and possession of weapons.
