The 2024 Hummingbird Festival will take place on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Wilderness Station in Barfield Crescent Park, located at 401 Volunteer Road, Murfreesboro. The event is free and open to all ages, with food available for purchase. Running from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the festival celebrates the end-of-summer gathering of hundreds of hummingbirds at the park. These tiny flyers visit the area to stock up on nectar and insects before their southward migration.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities designed to enhance their appreciation of these fascinating birds. There will be children’s activities, guest speakers, and hummingbird-themed merchandise available throughout the day.
The schedule of events is as follows:

– **10:00 AM – 3:00 PM**: Food truck vendors will arrive.
– **10:00 AM – 3:00 PM**: Kids activities and hummingbird education sessions.
