A coordinated effort by detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division and multiple precincts has led to the arrest of a 19-year-old man involved in a series of business burglaries where vehicles were used to break into storefronts. The suspect, identified as Thomas Membreno-Rodriquez of Neill Avenue, is currently held on a $140,500 bond and faces several charges, including five counts of burglary, one count of attempted burglary, four counts of felony theft, four counts of felony vandalism, marijuana possession, and driving without a license.
Membreno-Rodriquez was apprehended on Mansfield Street at N. 9th Street for driving without a license and possessing marijuana. During an interview with detectives, he admitted to participating in multiple burglaries, including:
– The burglary of High Caliber Weaponry Training on August 5, where a stolen vehicle was used to smash through the entrance.
– The burglary of VapeZone on August 6, where a stolen vehicle was used to ram through the storefront.
– The burglary of Vape USA on August 6, where a stolen vehicle was used to crash through the entrance.
– The burglary of Vape World Smoke Shop on August 13, where a stolen vehicle was used to break through the entrance.
– The burglary of Smoke for Less on August 13, where a stolen vehicle was used to ram through the entrance.
– The attempted burglary of Let’s Vape on July 7, where suspects tried to use a stolen vehicle to break in but were unsuccessful, causing approximately $3,000 in damage.
In addition to these incidents in Nashville, Membreno-Rodriquez also admitted to participating in burglaries in Lebanon and Nolensville. The investigation is ongoing to identify and apprehend other individuals involved in these crimes.

Man Arrested for Attempted Murder and Drug Possession
Albin Avdiu was arrested for attempted murder and multiple drug-related charges after a police chase that ended in a crash. Police seized fentanyl, various pills, firearms, and cash from his car and residence. Avdiu is held on a $385,000 bond.
