West Tennessee Road Construction Updates for July 2024

Temporary lane closures across West Tennessee scheduled from July 10-17, 2024.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) has announced possible daytime and nighttime lane closures at various locations throughout Region 4 for repairs and new installations from July 10-17, 2024. These temporary closures will affect multiple counties across West Tennessee.

**District 47**

**Carroll County**

– SR-22: Resurfacing from Henderson County Line to near Weatherford Rd.

– SR-77: Resurfacing from near McLemoresville Road to the SR22 Bypass in Huntingdon.

**Dyer County**

– SR-20: Bridge repair on US 412 (SR 20) over the North Fork Forked Deer River with a 12’ lane restriction and a speed limit reduced to 55 MPH.

– SR-181: Resurfacing from SR 104 to the Lake County Line.

– SR-104: Resurfacing from Chic Road to SR 181.

– SR-181: Resurfacing from Lauderdale County Line to SR 104.

**Gibson/Carroll County**

– SR-76 (US-79): Grading, drainage, construction of a concrete box bridge, noise wall, and paving from west of Cades-Atwood Road in Gibson County to east of SR 77 in Carroll County.

**Henry/Weakley County**

– SR-22: Resurfacing with HOT IN-PLACE RECYCLING from the Carroll County Line in Henry County to SR 217 in Weakley County.

**Obion County**

– Future I-69 (Phase 3): SR 690 (Future I-69) is open to traffic with reduced speed limits to 45 mph in the southbound lanes.

**Weakley County**

– SR-445: Miscellaneous safety improvements including resurfacing from Gibson County Line to near Losson Puckett Road.

– SR-431: Miscellaneous safety improvements on Skyhawk Parkway from SR-216 (Baker Road) to Old Fulton Road.

**District 48**

**Crockett County**

– US-412 (SR-20): Resurfacing with hot-in-place recycling from Birmingham/Lyons Road to US-79 (SR-76).

**Haywood County**

– I-40 from MM 60 to 67: Nightly resurfacing work from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

– SR 179: Resurfacing with Full-Depth Reclamation (FDR) from US70 (SR1) to SR76.

– SR 222: Lane closures both north and southbound starting from approximately 1600′ north of Stanton Somerville RD to the south side of the entrance to the Haywood County Fire Station until August 5.

**District 49**

**Lauderdale County**

– US-51 (SR-3): Resurfacing from SR-88 to the Dyer County Line and from the Tipton County Line to SR-19.

– SR-19: Resurfacing from US-51 (SR-3) to Near Eastland Avenue.

**Shelby County**

– I-40: Nightly lane closures from near the Wolf River MM 11.2 to near Sycamore View Road MM 12.6.

– SR-3: Nightly lane closures from near Babe Howard Blvd to the Tipton County Line.

– SR-14 (Austin Peay Highway): Widening work causing shoulder closures and temporary lane closures.

– I-240 at Exit 23 (Airways Blvd): Ongoing lane closures until August 1, 2024.

– I-240 from LM 5.00 to LM 8.00: Left lane closure from July 10 to July 12 for the installation of a new cable barrier rail.

– I-55/Crump: 11’ width restriction with the ongoing project.

– SR-57 (Poplar Ave.): Daily and nightly lane closures from Poplar View Pkwy to Eastly Rd.

– SR-175 (Shelby Drive): Nightly lane closures from near Lamar Ave (SR-4) to Riverdale Rd.

– SR-23 (Walnut Grove Rd): Nightly lane closures from Poplar Ave to I-240.

**Tipton County**

– US-51 (SR-3) at Kenwood Avenue: Daily lane closures for safety improvements.

**Non-TDOT Work**

**Shelby County**

– SR-177 (Germantown Road): Long-term lane closures from Brierbrook to the Wolf River.

Fort Sanders Summer Cleanup Schedule Announced

The City of Knoxville has scheduled a comprehensive street cleaning operation for the Fort Sanders neighborhood on the weekends of July 13-14 and July 27-28, 2024, requiring the removal of all vehicles to facilitate thorough cleaning.
