West Tennessee Construction Updates for July 31 – August 7, 2024

Lane closures in various counties in West Tennessee for road repairs and resurfacing.

There will be potential daytime and nighttime lane closures at various locations across Region 4 in West Tennessee to facilitate repairs and new installations as needed. The work spans multiple counties, with detailed updates as follows:

**District 47**

**Carroll County:**

– **SR-22:** Resurfacing from the Henderson County Line to near Weatherford Rd. will cause temporary lane closures.

– **SR-77:** Resurfacing from near McLemoresville Road to the SR22 Bypass in Huntingdon will also result in temporary lane closures.

**Benton County:**

– Resurfacing on I-40 from S.R. 69 (MM 126) to the Humphreys County line (Tennessee River Bridge) will cause nighttime lane closures.

**Dyer County:**

– **SR-20:** Bridge repair on US 412 (SR 20) over the North Fork Forked Deer River will cause lane closures. Restrictions include a 12’ lane and a 5’ shoulder with a reduced speed limit of 55 MPH.

**Gibson/Carroll County:**

– **SR-76 (US-79):** Work includes grading, drainage, and construction of a concrete box bridge and noise wall, causing lane closures. Detours will be provided for closed roads.

**Henry/Weakley County:**

– **SR-22:** Resurfacing with HOT IN-PLACE RECYCLING from the Carroll County Line in Henry County to SR 217 in Weakley County will cause lane closures.

**Obion County:**

– **Future I-69 (Phase 3):** SR 690 is now open to traffic with reduced speed limits in the southbound lanes.

**Weakley County:**

– **SR-445:** Safety improvements including resurfacing will cause lane closures.

**District 48**

**Crockett County:**

– **US-412 (SR-20):** Resurfacing will cause lane closures in both directions with one lane remaining open.

**Gibson and Crockett County:**

– **SR-152:** Resurfacing and bridge repairs will cause lane closures, with one lane remaining open.

**Haywood County:**

– **I-40:** Nightly lane closures between MM 60-67 from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for resurfacing.

– **SR 179:** Resurfacing with Full-Depth Reclamation will cause lane closures with one lane open.

– **SR 222:** Lane closures from June 24 through August 31 for safety improvements.

**District 49**

**Lauderdale County:**

– **US-51 (SR-3):** Resurfacing from SR-88 to the Dyer County Line and from the Tipton County Line to SR-19 will cause lane closures.

– **SR-19:** Resurfacing will cause lane closures near Eastland Avenue.

**Shelby County:**

– **I-40:** Nightly lane closures from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. for resurfacing and ITS maintenance on the Hernando Desoto Bridge.

– **I-55 at Exit 7:** Lane closures for coring activities.

– **SR-3:** Nightly lane closures from Babe Howard Blvd. to the Tipton County line for resurfacing.

– **SR-14 (Austin Peay Highway):** Widening work will cause lane and shoulder closures.

– **I-240 at Exit 23 (Airways Blvd):** Ongoing lane closures for safety improvements and storm drainage installation.

**Tipton County:**

– **US-51 (SR-3):** Lane closures at the intersection of Kenwood Avenue for safety improvements.

**Non-TDOT Work in Shelby County:**

– **SR-177 (Germantown Road):** Long-term lane closures for widening and intersection improvements.
