A registered sex offender, Joshua Lesler, aged 43, has been arrested following the discovery of explicit images on his Google accounts. According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) Special Victims Division, the investigation began after receiving multiple tips from Google about two Gmail accounts containing hundreds of sexually explicit images of children. These accounts also held personal documents connected to Lesler.
Lesler was detained without incident during his annual sex offender registry check-in. He confessed to detectives that he had sought out and downloaded numerous sexually explicit files involving children from the dark web.
Lesler faces two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and is currently being held on a $100,000 bond. Additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
