Public Notice on Air Pollution Source Permit Applications

Notice for public comment on air pollution source permits in Nashville by August 18, 2024.

Applications for a construction permit and/or a synthetic minor operating permit have been filed with the Metro Public Health Department, Air Pollution Control Division, for the following sources:

These applications are subject to the provisions of the Metropolitan Code of Laws, Chapter 10.56, “Air Pollution Control,” Section 10.56.020, “Construction Permits,” Paragraph N, and Section 10.56.040, “Operating Permits,” as well as Section 3-2 of Regulation 3, “New Source Review.” These provisions require public notification and a 30-day public comment period.

Copies of the application packages are available for public review at the Metro Public Health Department, Vital Records Division, 2500 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee. Comments must be received in the Air Pollution Control Division Office no later than August 18, 2024. Emailed comments may be directed to air.pollution.control@publichealth.nash.gov.

Nashville OEM Conducts Heat Patrols Amid Advisory

The Nashville Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will conduct heat patrols during a Heat Advisory in effect until July 16, 2024, providing resources to vulnerable populations and advising residents on how to stay safe in extreme heat.
