Nashville Register of Deeds Office Closes Early

Global tech outage forces early closure of Nashville Register of Deeds Office.

The Nashville Davidson County Register of Deeds Office has announced that it will close early today due to a global technology outage. This issue has impacted electronic recording systems and affected various sectors, including airports and banks.

Register of Deeds Karen Johnson revealed that the office would close at 2:30 p.m. due to the inability to record deeds and other documents electronically. Microsoft has deployed a fix for the issue within its Windows operating system, but many users are still experiencing disruptions.

“We are working with Metro IT and our partners at Business Information Systems to get our system working again, but it appears that we will not have the issue resolved this afternoon,” Johnson stated. She also mentioned that the office expects to resume normal operations from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday.
