The Nashville Fire Department’s BLAZE Mentoring Program, in collaboration with the Nashville Fire Department, will host a Back-to-School Giveaway event on Friday, July 26, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the NFD Headquarters, located at 63 Hermitage Avenue.
This public event invites youth and families to enjoy an afternoon filled with fun, excitement, and community engagement. Thanks to the generous support of the main sponsor, First Responders Children’s Foundation, free backpacks filled with school supplies will be distributed to help students start the new school year prepared.
Local Target stores have contributed additional items for students, including snacks for the event. Chick-Fil-A Nashville (Church Street) will provide food for attendees, and Box 55 will supply drinks to keep everyone hydrated.
The support from these sponsors has been crucial in making this community outreach event possible, and the Nashville Fire Department extends its sincere gratitude for their unwavering support.
Families can look forward to special appearances by T-Rac from the Tennessee Titans and Tempo from the Nashville Soccer Club, who will provide entertainment and photo opportunities for children and families.
Please note that children must be present to receive a backpack. This ensures that the resources are directed to the students who need them most. Families are encouraged to arrive early, as supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Join the Nashville Fire Department for a memorable afternoon as they wrap up the summer and kick off a successful school year.
