Man Arrested for Selling Explicit Images of Children Online

Alvaro Martinez Jr. was arrested for selling explicit images of children online.

A months-long investigation by Special Victims Division detectives has led to the arrest of Alvaro Martinez Jr., 20, on two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. The investigation was initiated following tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which indicated that explicit materials were being sold online through multiple Twitter (X) accounts.

During a voluntary interview with Special Victims Division detectives, Martinez admitted to owning the accounts used to sell pornography. A subsequent search of his phone resulted in the recovery of the explicit images seen online.

Martinez was taken into custody without incident on Old Hickory Boulevard in Antioch. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $70,000 bond.
