July Edition of “In the City” Highlights Local Events

The July edition of "In the City" honors local hero Bill Allen and covers various community events.

The July edition of CityTV’s “In the City,” hosted by Michael Linn White, highlights various events and updates happening in Murfreesboro. Among the featured stories, Mayor Shane McFarland honored local WWII hero Bill Allen, 99, with a special Proclamation on the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

The episode covers a range of topics, including the MLS Next Cup held at Richard Siegel Soccer Park, updates on the Murfreesboro Transit Center, Juneteenth celebrations, and Boat Day activities. “In the City” is broadcast on CityTV at 8:00 a.m., 6:00 p.m., and 10:30 p.m., and is available anytime on the City of Murfreesboro’s YouTube channel and Facebook page here starting July 1st at 6 p.m.

Fireworks Regulations in Murfreesboro City Limits

Murfreesboro permits the use of fireworks within city limits only on July 3rd, 4th, and 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., with strict age verification and safety regulations in place, including restrictions on certain types of fireworks and usage locations.
