Homicide Unit detectives are actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday night on Antioch Pike. The incident involved a young man who was apparently shot with his own gun during a confrontation with three other individuals in the 1600 block. The victim’s identity is still unknown.
According to surveillance footage, the victim was seen riding a skateboard shortly after 11 p.m. when he was approached by the three suspects. A physical altercation ensued for reasons yet to be determined, during which the victim dropped a pistol. One of the suspects allegedly picked up the weapon and shot the victim.
The victim attempted to flee but collapsed on the lawn of a nearby business, where he succumbed to his injuries. The three suspects fled the scene on foot.

Donyae Wroten Indicted for First-Degree Murder
Donyae Wroten, 22, has been indicted by a grand jury for first-degree murder in the October 2023 shooting of Terran Frazier, 44, on Phillips Street. Wroten had allegedly planned to rob Frazier due to a prior dispute and fled the state after the incident. He is currently incarcerated in Louisiana for unrelated offenses and will be returned to Nashville to face the murder charges once his current sentence is complete.
