The Department of Revenue will hold a free webinar on tax-related legislative updates.

NASHVILLE — The Department of Revenue will host a free webinar on July 30 at 9 am Central time to discuss updates from the 2024 legislative session. Revenue staff will provide an overview of the latest tax-related legislative changes.

The Department of Revenue administers state tax laws, motor vehicle title and registration laws, and collects associated taxes and fees. The department is responsible for approximately 87 percent of the state’s total revenue. In the 2023 fiscal year, it collected $22 billion in state taxes and fees, along with more than $4.6 billion for local governments. Nashville Register of Deeds Office Closes Early

The Nashville Davidson County Register of Deeds Office closed early today due to a global technology outage affecting electronic recording systems. Although Microsoft has provided a fix, disruptions persist, and normal operations are expected to resume on Monday.
