A 64-year-old Nashville man lost his life in a two-vehicle collision on Murfreesboro Pike on Saturday at 10:20 p.m. The incident occurred in the 2800 block of the road. Authorities are currently working to notify the next of kin.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the man was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze southbound when he veered into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with a 2020 Toyota RAV4. The driver of the RAV4 reported that the Cruze was moving very slowly before the accident. Fortunately, the RAV4 driver was not injured, and both vehicles sustained minimal damage.
The driver of the Cruze was transported to Southern Hills Medical Center, where medical professionals suggested that he might have experienced a medical episode before the crash. Toxicology tests are being conducted as part of the investigation.
