Fancypants Restaurant Opens in East Nashville

Fancypants offers a playful twist on fine dining in East Nashville.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Honest to Goodness Hospitality announces the launch of their new restaurant, Fancypants, in East Nashville on Friday, July 26 at 921 Dickerson Pike. After a year of planning and construction, Fancypants aims to redefine fine dining with a “choose your own adventure” culinary experience that emphasizes delicious dishes, funky music, and tasty beverages.

Led by Founder/Partner Michael Shemtov, Creative Director/Partner Jake Mogelson, and Chef/Partner Bryan Weaver, Fancypants offers a unique take on upscale dining. The team includes industry veterans Joshua Homacki (chef de cuisine), Katie Fair (executive pastry chef), and David Norris (beverage director). The menu features a variety of vegetable-forward dishes that can be mixed and matched, including Crispy Turnip Noodle Lasagne with Parmesan Foam and Potato Chip Crusted Chicken Fried Cauliflower with Coconut Gravy. Desserts like Funfetti Cheesecake and an interactive sundae bar add a nostalgic touch.

The beverage program, curated by Norris and Mogelson, highlights West Coast wines, classic cocktails, and a focused beer list. The wine list is organized by price points, encouraging guests to explore new varieties.

The restaurant’s design, created in collaboration with Powell Nashville and Made by Mode, transforms a former Piggly Wiggly grocery store into a vibrant space with bold colors and modern elements. The open kitchen allows diners to see the chefs in action, and seating options range from booths to a communal bar and a cozy veranda.

Fancypants is located in the McFerrin/Cleveland Park area of East Nashville and will be open for dinner service Thursdays through Sundays starting at 5 p.m. Reservations can be made on Resy. For more information, visit wearefancypants.com and follow @wearefancypants on Instagram for updates.
